Pozwolę sobie zamieścić tutaj mój dość długi komentarz na temat restrykcji jakie EAware planuje wprowadzić w Star Wars: The Old Republic dla darmowych graczy w nadchodzącym trybie free to play. Część pewnie widziała go na FB, ale może niektórym tak będzie wygodniej go czytać. Dość powiedzieć, że uważam, że mogli to zupełnie inaczej rozwiązać i takie stawianie wszędzie zakazów może (choć nie musi) okazać się zgubne. Czas pokaże. Tymczasem, enjoy:
I’ll allow myself to post my pretty long comment on the restrictions that EAware plans for free to play players in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Some of you might have seen it on Facebook, but maybe for some it will be more comfortable to read it here. I think they could’ve done in free to play a whole different way and blocking up everything can (but not necessarily will) end up in disaster. Time will tell. In the mean time, enjoy:

Sure it’s only two months, but once you spend money in a MMO game, you’re more likely to pay again and those were a few extra dollars that wouldn’t be there if I hadn’t liked the f2p gameplay and recommended it to my friend. Now multiply that by thousands of other players.
Sure I can pay for the cargo hold and item quality once and the problem will be gone, but on the other hand isn’t it better to reward than restrict? Lower the f2p restrictions a little to make free players want to log on regularly and don’t feel like the game is a pain unless you pay. Give the subscribed players extras and special gifts – they’ll feel good about supporting the game every month and f2p players might get tempted by the treasures a subscription holds. Right now the Cartel Market looks more like a mechanic for free players to take down all the “KEEP OUT!” signs that come with their lack of subscription or balance their gameplay with paying players because, they can’t craft, do operations or wear higher quality items.
This movie was posted on this profile before, and I think it shows marvelously how microtransactions and f2p should be implemented.
That being said I’ll definitely play the game as I think the stories are worth it and see if the restrictions are that hard if you want to focus strictly on the story gameplay. Sorry I had to break it down to a number of posts xD[/quote]
